The Best Way to Enjoy Movies in Your Living Room

I am an avid movie buff. Action movies, horror films, martial arts classics and off-the-cuff romantic comedies- there’s just something about being immersed into someone else’s story. I think that’s what makes me such a Marvel fan. That reality is so brilliantly far-fetched; I just love being sucked into such a drastically different and exciting world.

Back in the day, my love of action heroes would compel me to get dressed, transport myself to a movie theater, buy tickets, pay ridiculous prices for overly greasy popcorn and share a room filled with strangers- some inconspicuous, some obnoxious. Thankfully, I no longer have to deal with any of that inconvenience because I recently became the proud owner of a HEOS HomeCinema, and it’s amazing!

HEOS HomeCinema

First, let’s talk specs. Here are some of the audio features that make my HEOS HomeCinema boom with rich sound:

  • Exclusive Virtual Surround Processing that creates immersive sound without external speakers.
  • A Bi-Amplified Soundbar that has 4 channels of Class D digital amplification.
  • Bass Boost that delivers deep sound and reduces sound distortion.
  • Innovative Dialog Enhancer that delivers crisp, clear sound so you never miss any of the conversation.
  • Super useful ‘Night Mode’ that allows night owls to enjoy movies with full range audio experience- all without disturbing anyone else in the house.

The sound elements are paramount in importance of course, but another great factor you just can’t ignore is the simplistic setup and beautiful design of the HomeCinema. The HEOS set comes with only two elements; a sleek and elegant soundbar, along with one wireless subwoofer that can be placed just about anywhere you have room. The soundbar can be placed on your entertainment shelf or mounted on the wall; I placed mine right beneath my flat screen on the shelf, so there was no additional installation needed and the whole setup was so easy!

My HomeCinema is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. Now I can hold movie-viewing parties in my living room and can do so without loud strangers, stale popcorn and sticky, uncomfortable seats. The one thing that hasn’t been replaced? That spectacular movie theater audio experience- only now I enjoy it from the comfort of my living room. Movie theaters are out and HomeCinemas are definitely in!

Lookout for Home Cinema System Types Before Buying Them

Home cinema systems as the term itself suggests means bringing together the surround-sound features of the cinema into your home which actually makes you feel entertained and comfortable.

An ideal home cinema system should actually deliver good quality sound that too with real sound effects. They should actually give you a cinematic experience.

These are easy to set up you just need to follow the simple instructions as mentioned in the manuals as many of them come up with auto set features with automated settings. Often people do much of research in the market to buy the best suitable for themselves. It is recommended to choose the one which is laid with easy to control features and which can be controlled remotely.

Go for the ones which contain everything speakers, cables, amplifiers, DVD or Blu-ray player etc. So there is no need to buy anything separately from the market. The speakers a home cinema system constitutes as 2.1, 3.1, 5.1 and 7.1 systems hence are of great use to the users meeting their varied requirements. The speakers count also depends upon the width, the number of rooms and much more.  If you wish you can buy the speakers and amplifiers as separately but that could be more expensive.

Which one to choose from:

2.1 Home cinema systems: A simple 2.1 home cinema system consists of two speakers placed at the left and right of the TV with subwoofer in another room. These have an in-built amplifier which can help you to provide high-quality sound for music, TV and movies. It hence provides a great way to enjoy your favorite music or movie without need for surround and center channel speakers.

3.1 Home cinema systems: 3.1 system has an extra front speaker that can help you to boost the sound. Compared to 2.1 these 3.1 home theater systems give you a good sound improvement as these donot have built-in TV speakers.

5.1 Home Cinema Systems: It consists of three front speakers, two rear speakers, a subwoofer and also a DVD and/or Blu-ray player. Each of the speakers in this 5.1 channel system play an important role as the front (or stereo) speaker’s help to make you enjoy the best surround sound speaker effect. The rear surround speakers that are used in 5.1 channel system help to create a three-dimensional sound field wherein the sounds can be heard actually from all of the directions.

7.1 Home Cinema Systems: It adds two additional rear speakers to the normal 5.1 home theater system. It has a feature it doesn’t combine both surround and rear channel speakers but it puts them separate into four channels. It means, sound effects from side speakers are moved towards left and right channels and rear effects moved towards rear or back channels.

You can also get rid of all the speaker cables in the room by switching from wired to wireless home theater systems.

The above write-up is just to give you an idea of different home cinema systems before actually buying them. Further to it you can also go through this post about placement of home theater speakers which is important if you want to enjoy cinematic experience fully.
